CCCKC member Rob Kleeschulte brought his Mecanum wheel bot (that’s been featured on the Make blog a couple times now) to last night’s general meeting and got it up and moving.  Check out some video of the bot in action:

  1. Right now, the mecanum robot has to be programmed for EITHER side-to-side (as seen here) or forward-back motion. Rob was having difficulty getting the microcontroller to accurately read all four analog channels consistently, but it works fine with two channels now. When it’s done, it will be able to move forward, backward, side to side, and be able to make 360-degree zero-radius turns.
