AC Motors are awesome! This is a single phase, 1/2HP, 865 RPM motor I ripped from an air conditioning unit a while ago. What to do with this next not sure, either rip the magnet wire out of it, or plug it in! I suppose I could decommission my dryer for a while.
Plugged this puppy in with out a cap in series and with only 120VAC. Smelt something funny, and it got really warm.
Better to salvage it for the magnet wire.
